It looks fairly old, has two small drawers on top and one large one on bottom. There were three metal pieces laying in the bottom drawer, but they don't seem to attach anywhere in order to support hanging files.

My file cabinet has 2 drawers. The bottom drawer locks both the top and bottom drawers. Today when I went to unlock it I realized that something is wrong because only the bottom drawer locked. What happened and how can I fix this so that both drawers are locked?

There's a small, three drawer file metal file cabinet here at work and we don't have the key for it. Somehow, the bottom drawer opens, but the top two drawers are locked. It's a new office and we never got the key for this particular cabinet... we're assuming it's long gone at this point.

We've been trying to pick the lock open with a paperclip but it hasn't worked.

Is there any other way, besides calling a locksmith, to get the file cabinet unlocked so we can use it?

Thanks for your time! :)

It is a 2 drawer file cabinet. The bottom drawer locks both drawers (top and bottom).

For some odd reason, now only the bottom drawer gets locked. What is the problem and how can I fix it?
